'Italian Fritzl' raped and tortured kidnapped woman in 'sex dungeon' for 10 years
The man allegedly fathered two children with the victim, who watched their mother get raped and beaten.
A woman held captive in a "sex dungeon" for a decade by a 52-year-old man was reportedly raped and tortured repeatedly and gave birth to two of his children, according to new claims.
Details of the alleged abuse by Aloisio Francesco Rosario Giordano have come to light after he was arrested over the weekend.
Giordano, a convicted rapist released in 1999 after serving four years, met his latest victim when she was sent to care for his terminally-ill wife, The Mirror reported.
According to claims, the Romanian carer was 19-years-old when she was chained up in a filthy rat-infested cabin.
Italian media has dubbed Giordano "The Italian Fritzl" after Austrian Josef Fritzl, who imprisoned his daughter and had seven children with her.
Footage of the filthy cabin the woman, now 29, was held in shows a dilapidated building with buckets being used as toilets. Rusting and rotting furniture fill the cabin where the woman and her children were forced to live in.
According to reports in Italy, Giordano allegedly offered his victim a home after his wife's death. When she moved in, the victim was "brutally raped and tortured" in a cabin with no running water or electricity.
Giordano is said to have fathered two children with the victim, a nine-year-old boy and a three-year-old girl. The children allegedly witnessed their mother being raped and beaten by the man, with the oldest forced to join in with the beatings.
Repubblica reported the woman was found with injuries caused by fishing wire. During her captivity, the woman never saw a doctor.
The suspect was caught after police stoped him with one of the children. Officers noted the child was very dirty and demanded to see the child's living conditions. They reported the child's mother had a demeanor similar to a "slave," according to the Mirror.
Giordano was jailed in 1995 for kidnapping, raping and torturing another woman for five months. He was released early in 1999 for good behaviour, The Daily Mail reported.
