Ivan Massow launches campaign to become 'gay, ex-alcoholic, dyslexic' Mayor of London
British businessman Ivan Massow has launched his campaign to become Mayor of London in a candid cartoon video in which he admits he is gay, an ex-alcoholic, and dyslexic. In the 70-second video posted on Massow's YouTube channel, the 47-year-old says he is "not your typical politician" and is "someone who hates politics as normal".
In the cartoon Massow says, "I'm gay, I'm an ex-alocoholic, I'm dyslexic, I'm adopted, I'm a businessman, I'm a disruptor, I'm a doer, I'm not your typical politician." The video clip ends with Massow asking the audience to tell him "What you want from your London Mayor".
Massow hopes to become the Conservative candidate for the next London mayoral election in 2016, where Boris Johnson will step down after eight years in the role. The other three Tory candidates to declare are Andrew Boff, Stephen Greenhalgh, and former England footballer Sol Campbell.
