Jamie Vardy to Arsenal: England striker 'could still join Gunners at end of Euro 2016'
Jamie Vardy could reportedly still join Arsenal this summer. The 29-year-old striker is the subject of a £20m ($29.3m) bid from the Gunners and has delayed making a decision until his involvement in Euro 2016 ends.
Over the weekend, various reports claimed Vardy had decided to shun Arsenal's interest in favour of staying at Leicester City. Those claims were given further credence by the comments of Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger, who told CCTV: "Jamie Vardy is, at the moment, at Leicester and from what I know, he will stay at Leicester."
However, according to Sky Sports, Vardy is still undecided about his future and remains open to the possibility of joining Arsenal this summer. On the flip side, Leicester have reportedly offered Vardy a new contract on improved terms.
Vardy is set to make a definitive situation about his future at the end of the Euros. The in-form striker recently batted away questions about his club career, along with Arsenal's bid for his services, during a press conference.
"I'm just here completely focusing on England and that's all I want to do at the moment," Vardy said when asked about Arsenal's offer. "We're here to represent England and that's all I want to think about."
