Jerusalem: Eight Injured in Suspected Terrorist Attack at Ammunition Hill Light Train Station
Numerous people have been injured in Jerusalem as a car ran over people waiting at a light rail train station in a suspected terrorist attack.
Police in the Israeli city said the vehicle driver was shot after attempting to flee. Israeli media reported that the suspect, said to be a Palestinian, was alive.
Superintendent Micky Rosenfeld tweeted:

Authorities said at least eight people were wounded in the incident at Ammunition Hill station and were all being treated at a local hospital. Two were said to be in serious conditions, including a baby.
An investigation into the suspect attack was underway, police said.
In a video purportedly showing the incident uploaded online, a vehicle is seen diverting from the main road at high speed, to then hit commuters waiting in front of the rails.
If confirmed, the assault was not the first of its kind to strike Jerusalem in recent months.
In August a digger struck a passenger bus and overturned it in the city. The driver was shot dead by police after he killed a pedestrian and injured six other people.
Earlier today, two Israeli soldiers were wounded in a separate shooting incident on the Israeli-Egyptian border.
