Jessie James Decker Shares Plan To Ditch 'Very Large' Breast Implants To Embrace Her Natural 'Strong Girl Era'

Jessie James Decker has revealed that she has finally set a date to remove her 'very large' breast implants, saying her recent fitness journey has changed how she feels about her body. The 38-year-old singer and mother of four told followers that getting stronger and more confident has made her realise that her current implants no longer fit the person she feels she has become.

'I've officially locked in the date and made the decision to take out my VERY large breast implants,' Decker wrote on Instagram, after discussing the possibility with followers for around six months. She said she would ultimately like to have her implants removed altogether, but is not yet sure she is ready to take that step. Instead, Decker is planning a smaller look as she embraces what she calls her 'strong girl era' and 'natural girl era'.

Decker Says Fitness Changed How She Sees Her Body

Decker said her ongoing fitness journey, including her JJD FIT Club community, has played a major role in her decision to change her appearance. 'I've been on such a fitness journey with y'all and my @jjdfitclub getting stronger and more confident than ever,' she wrote. 'I'm not stopping and I don't want anything holding me back.'

She added that her 'strong girl era' had helped her feel more connected to her body and understand what felt right for her. 'I just don't feel like these big implants fit who I am anymore,' Decker said. The singer said she wants 'less maintenance' in her life and increasingly wants to feel 'the most like myself'.

While she joked about pursuing what she called 'juicy ballerina boobies', her message was that the planned procedure is part of a broader change in how she approaches her body and lifestyle. For Decker, the decision appears to reflect changing priorities rather than regret over her earlier surgery. She has spoken positively about how the augmentation made her feel when she first had it, while now saying that a different look better matches her current life.

Why She Changed Her Mind After 2021

Decker has previously been open about why she chose breast augmentation in 2021. At the time, she said that pregnancy and motherhood had changed her body and that the procedure made her feel more confident. She had previously undergone a breast reduction and lift, but later decided she wanted a larger size.

Decker said at the time that she had wanted to regain the fuller appearance she remembered from before having children. However, her plans changed when she unexpectedly became pregnant with her fourth child, Denver. During her 2023 pregnancy, Decker said she would not have chosen such large implants had she known another pregnancy was ahead, explaining that her breasts became much larger while she was expecting. She also said then that she expected to downsize in the future.

Motherhood Helped Start Her 'Less Is More' Chapter

Decker said welcoming Denver in 2024 was another turning point. The arrival of her youngest child helped kick-start what she described as her 'less is more chapter'. She and her husband, former NFL player Eric Decker, also share daughter Vivianne and sons Eric Jr and Forrest.

The singer has repeatedly spoken about the physical changes that followed pregnancy. In 2024, she shared bikini photos, saying she weighed 30 pounds more than the previous year, and encouraged other new mothers to give themselves grace. More recently, she has also discussed the challenges of regaining strength and confidence after her fourth pregnancy.

Although Decker said she would eventually like to remove the implants completely, she admitted that she is not ready to go that far yet. 'I've had such large ones for so long I don't know what I have underneath it all,' she explained, suggesting that the planned surgery will be a step towards a smaller, more natural look rather than a complete explant for now.

As she approaches 40, Decker says strength, confidence and feeling connected to her body have become more important to her than maintaining the dramatic look she once wanted.
