In an online poll conducted by the Headwear Association, the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, won Hat Person the Year title with a staggering 91 per cent vote.
Fashion stylist Rachel Joe came second, securing a 4 per cent vote while singer Ne-Yo got the third position with a 2 per cent vote.
Justin Timberlake, Charlie Sheen and Bruno Mars got a 1 per cent vote each.
A velvet cabernet hat that the Duchess sported on Christmas Day turned out to be the favourite one in the poll.
This is the third year the group has conducted the poll and Kate is the first female to win. Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp won the title in 2009 and 2010 respectively.
The Headwear Association claims to be the "oldest fashion trade association in the industry" and their mission is to promote hat wearing and the headwear industry throughout the world.
