It was one of those nights which Aston Villa fans, players and even bosses would rather like to leave behind them. The brutal domination of Liverpool at Villa Park on Sunday was a bit too much for them to bear. Villa were defeated 2-0 in the Premier League match.

The opener came from Craig Bellamy just 11 minutes into the game. The Welsh striker scored from close range, sending the Villa line-up into panic mode.

Martin Skrtel followed suit in 15 minutes, heading home a corner from Bellamy. Villa were in total disarray, lacking in confidence and attack potential. Kenny Dalglish's side was formidable on the day.
