Khloe Kardashian slams critics who claim she is 'trying to be black' by eating Popeyes Chicken & Biscuits

US reality TV star Khloe Kardashian hit back at critics who claimed she is "trying to be black" by eating chicken and biscuits from Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen.

The 30-year-old Keeping Up With The Kardashians star and sister Kylie Jenner had posted some pictures of them enjoying Popeyes on a private plane with their mother Kris Jenner and friends on Instagram.

"Popeyes and PJs!!!!!!" Kim Kardashian's sister captioned the image.

The photos did not go well with their fans and received racially inclined comments.

Khloe took to her Twitter account to respond to the criticism.

"Seeing some of the stories/comments in regards to my Instagram. How is anyone 'trying to be black' because they are eating food?" she wrote. "I wasn't aware that food was limited to a certain skin color… I thought food was not specific to skin color but to humans in general."

"'To break bread together,' a phrase as old as the Bible, captures the power of a meal to forge relationships, bury anger, provoke laughter," she added.

Last year, Khloe had received severe criticism for posting a picture of her in a Native American headdress on Instagram.

In the image, she was seen sitting on a colourful rug, her legs folded in a meditative pose. There was a miniature teepee next to her as well.
