Leonardo DiCaprio distancing himself from Rihanna for Oscars 2016?
American actor/film producer Leonardo DiCaprio reportedly wants to focus on the upcoming Academy Awards than his personal life. The Titanic actor and Rihanna had again sparked rumours that they are dating.
The pair apparently got intimate at the L'Arc club in Paris. The two appeared to be "very friendly" and even shared a kiss.
"It's no secret that Leo is desperate to finally win an Oscar this year, having been famously overlooked until now, and he doesn't want his personal life to distract from his campaign," a source told Grazia magazine, as quoted by Belfast Telegraph. "Things between him and Rihanna aren't serious, and he's concerned that being painted as a playboy will stop him being taken seriously as a contender. He was even rumoured to have split with Kelly Rohrbach so that his entire focus could be on walking away with an award. Right now, he wants to be known for his work, not his love life."
"They've enjoyed a flirtation for ages, and are very much friends with benefits," the insider added. "Leo's been giving Rihanna advice about her film roles, which is an area she's keen to break into, and they've been enjoying each other's company. She was slightly miffed by how he reacted to the pictures, because she makes no apology about her private life and can't understand why he would."
Rumours that Chris Brown's former girlfriend and DiCaprio are dating, made the rounds in January 2015 and apparently, the two spent a lot of time together. In an interview with Elle, Rihanna revealed her words to live by.
"'Avoid obviousness.' That is a quote by Leonardo DiCaprio. That's what makes you create something, that's the excitement, that's the thrill," she said.
During an interview with Hello! magazine, the FourFiveSeconds hitmaker was asked by the interviewer, "How does Rihanna DiCaprio sound to you?"
"It sounds to me like you should stay away from the blogs because they will screw you every time," Rihanna responded. "I'm so busy right now that I just don't have a lot of time to offer to a man, so it wouldn't even be fair to be thinking of pulling somebody else into this life. But if I did, he would have to be man enough to live with my schedule and not get scared."
