English Premier League 2011/12 Statistics: Liverpool v Arsenal Preview [POLL]
Liverpool are still on a high after beating Cardiff on penalties to win the Carling Cup. Unfortunately for them, their performances this season have been patchy, at best. The last time these two sides played, Liverpool came out 2-0 winners but it is unlikely to be repeated this time around. The injuries of Agger and Gerrard will come as big blows to the Reds, who are currently below Newcastle in the league.
Although the Gunners managed a convincing 5-2 win over rivals Tottenham in their last league game, they have also been at the receiving end of some key games... particularly against AC Milan and Sunderland, in the Champions League and FA Cup, respectively. The team has been plagued by injuries and a defeat could, potentially, see them lose the final Champions League spot to Chelsea.
