On Sunday, Liverpool will take to the field at Wembley looking to beat Welsh side Cardiff City to claim the Carling Cup crown for the 8<sup>th time in their history. If they do win, they will extend their trophy count in this competition; they have already won it more times than any other team, including four successive wins in 1981, 1982, 1983 and 1984.
Needless to say, they are the favourites for the win.
