Daniel Pacheco has confirmed that he has left Liverpool to join Spanish second division side AD Alcorcon on a permanent deal.
The 22 year old has struggled to make an impact at Anfield after choosing to leave Barcelona in order to try and further his career at Liverpool back in the summer of 2007.
Pacheco had impressed in the famous La Masia academy but would go on to make just five Premier League appearances for the Merseyside club and was repeatedly sent out on loan.
An initial loan spell at Norwich City saw Pacheco score two goals in six appearances, before returning to Spain on three occasions as he had short spells with Atletico Madrid, Rayo Valecano and SD Huesca.
Now it seems Pacheco has been deemed surplus to requirements by manager Brendan Rodgers who has significantly strengthened his attacking options this summer.
Luis Alberto, Iago Aspas and Victor Moses have all arrived as Liverpool look to build a squad that is capable of once again challenging for a place in the top four this season.
These new faces clearly convinced Pacheco that he needed to leave and he confirmed via Twitter that he will return to Spain.
It has been a busy final day of the transfer window for the Reds who have completed the signings of Mamadou Sakho from Paris Saint-Germain and Tiago Ilori from Sporting Lisbon, while Moses has arrived from Chelsea on a season-long loan.
As well as the new arrivals it was confirmed earlier today that struggling striker Fabio Borini has joined Sunderland on loan for the rest of the season.
The Italian struggled with injuries last season and has struggled to force his way in the side since returning to full fitness.
