Demi Moore has finally removed the name of her ex-husband Ashton Kutcher from her Twitter name and changed it from @mrskutcher to @justdemi on the social media site.

The 49-year-old American actress, who has recently separated from her husband of six years on November, 2011, had retained her old Twitter moniker for some time.

Finally, after months of separation, the "Ghost" star has finally decided to alter her Twitter name for a fresh start.

"Thanks everyone for your help in finding my new name!" Demi tweeted. "So hard finding a name that was fun somewhat playful and available. So for now it will be @justdemi It could grow on me!"

In April, 2012, Demi officially announced on her Twitter page that she was looking for a change in name on the social media platform and asked the help of her followers to select a new name.

"Time for a change, twitter name change? any suggestions?" she tweeted.

After changing the name, the star also helped her Twitter fans and followers in assisting in finding a new name. "Thanks everyone for your help in finding my new name!" she wrote.

Both Demi and her ex-husband Ashton Kutcher were avid Twitter followers and often posted pictures of them together on the micro-blogging site. In fact, both the stars were often seen proclaiming their love for each other by posting images on the site.

The Daily Mail reported that the star announced her intention to divorce Kutcher last November - although proceedings are yet to be executed by either party. It followed claims he had cheated on her with party girl Sara Leal during a seedy night in San Diego.

Demi checked out of Utah's Cirque Lodge in March, where she was allegedly treated for eating disorder issues, exhaustion and substance abuse.

Following the split, Demi suffered a major health crisis in January, 2012 following which she was sent to a treatment facility.
