The Internet's popular video sharing Web site, YouTube, has banned users below the age of 18 from watching Madonna's "Girls Gone Wild" album, due to its "sexual content".

According to the New York Post, the video for the single is far to risqué, with an almost nude singer dancing alongside similarly semi-nude dancers and models.

YouTube has therefore made the video available only for users who sign in and verify their date of birth.

"While we don't comment on individual videos, we review all videos flagged by our users against our community guidelines. In some cases we restrict flagged material that, while not in violation of those guidelines, contains images that may be unsuitable for younger users," YouTube was quoted as saying by iMediaMonkey.

"Some things never change. Will you be signing in to check out the hardcore vid from the new MDNA album?" asked a spokesperson for the singer, who was quoted in a report by Entertainment Wise.
