English Premier League 2011/12 Statistics: Manchester City v Bolton Wanderers Preview
This is a clash between two teams at opposite ends of the Premier League table.
Although Manchester City are, on paper, the clear favourites, Bolton will not be looking to make things easy for the league leaders... particularly after their poor performance against Chelsea last time out.
City have performed exceptionally well this season and will be looking to set a new league record for most home wins; if they beat Bolton, they will have equalled Manchester United's record. In addition, Mancini will be hoping to stretch his side's lead over title rivals Manchester United, who will play Tottenham on Sunday.
Bolton, on the other hand, are entrenched deep in the drop zone, between Blackburn and Wigan. An earlier injury to veteran striker Kevin Davies, who is doubtful for this game, could prove costly. Additionally, Bolton have failed to score in their last three games on the road. This is a tough ask but if they can come away with a draw, following games against QPR, Villa, Blackburn and Wolves may suddenly look a lot easier!
