Red Devils Claim Comfortable 2-0 Win over West Brom, Climb to Top of Premier League [PHOTOS]

Manchester United finally find themselves at the top of the Premier League table after they registered a comfortable 2-0 win against West Bromwich Albion. They were helped by the fact that rivals Manchester City fell to a 1-0 defeat against Swansea City.

Although the Baggies were the first to launch an attack, the Red Devils, with the 2-3 loss to Athletic Bilbao in the Europa League still fresh in their minds, quickly settled into the game connecting a number of passes. Star striker Wayne Rooney finally broke the deadlock in the 35th minute of the game via a Hernández pass, putting the home side in front.

The Baggies, who had a player sent off in the 65th minute, sealed their own fate by conceding a penalty, which Rooney disposed of with ease, in the 71st minute.
