A new trailer has been released for Marvel Avengers Assemble shortly after the film received a new title.

The spectacular clip shows Iron Man, Captain America, The Incredible Hulk, Thor, Hawkeye and Black Widow in combat as the ultimate superhero team.

One of the most ambitious film concepts in recent years, the film "assembles" an all-star cast including Robert Downey Jr, Scarlet Johanssen, Jeremy Renner, Samuel L Jackson and Chris Evans and is written by Buffy the Vampire creator Joss Whedon.

The team of heroes are drawn together to fight the threat of Norse god Loki and an unknown alien species, although plot details remain sketchy.

The film was recently retitled for UK audiences, being given the new name Marvel Avangers Assemble, supposedly to avoid confusion with the previous Avengers film starring Uma Thurman and Ralph Fiennes.

Marvel Avengers Assemble is due to be released in April.
