Mass Effect 3: Improved Combat Mechanics, New Locales and New Special Forces Gameplay Trailer [PREVIEW]
Mass Effect 3 will follow the events of Mass Effect 2 DLC expansion Arrival and succeeds Commander Shepard's mission to save the galaxy from the Reapers by rallying civilisations of the galaxy together, while also having to deal with Cerberus, who have decided to turn against him.
Gameplay in Mass Effect 3 will be vastly influenced by decisions from Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 and have game settings spanning throughout the galaxy, including Earth and Mars. So, those who saved the game with the earlier editions would have the benefit of carrying character experience and skill points forward.
Expect a much refined combat mechanics, particularly an improved cover system, besides multiple options for manoeuvring in the battlefield. Instant melee kills and more conventional grenades will continue to be part of the game and a four player multiplayer co-op mode will also be available.
The first footage of the Mars game world is out, as the new episode kicks off the grand finale of BioWare's trilogy. Along with the mind-blowing locales, expect an air of romance with the reappearance of good old friend - Liara.
Word is out from BioWare that the game demo would in fact release on Valentine's Day - February 14. What better way to abandon your girlfriend or wife on Valentine's Day and get engrossed in commander Shepherd's character, whacking the big baddies of the game in a locked up dark room?
Mass Effect 3 has already made waves with trailer releases and raving previews. A game demo might just add to the misery and loneliness of wives and girlfriends coming February 14.
What's more? Along with the game release, expect Liara embark on another stint with Commander Shepard to break his loneliness, while adding some vigour to monotonous mission-based gameplay.
