A video capturing the moment a fan caught a baseball barehanded after a match in the city of Biloxi in Mississippi on 6 June has swept across the web, becoming the latest viral sensation.

In the video, a member of the crowd, Micah Graves, was seen lifting his arm up to catch a baseball pitched by a player on the ground after the end of the match.

The fan was then seen catching the baseball to the amusement and cheers of the crowd surrounding him.

Graves said he was able to capture the moment thanks to a GoPro camera he was wearing at the time to film a documentary about the game, in the hope of being the first to post it online.

The video was posted to a social media website on June 7 and has since then received over 1.6 million views.
