Mick Jagger's ex Jerry Hall, 59, to wed Rupert Murdoch, 84, after whirlwind romance
Publishing mogul Rupert Murdoch and former model Jerry Hall have announced their engagement in one of Murdoch's newspapers.
"Mr Rupert Murdoch, father of Prudence, Elisabeth, Lachlan, James, Grace and Chloe Murdoch, and Miss Jerry Hall, mother of Elizabeth, James, Georgia and Gabriel Jagger, are delighted to announce their engagement," read a classified ad the couple posted in the births, deaths and marriages section of The Times, which is owned by Murdoch's News Corporation.
It will be the fourth marriage for the Australian-born mogul.
"They have loved these past months together, are thrilled to be getting married and excited about their future," a representative for the Murdoch family told Women's Day.
Murdoch and Hall, 59, made a rare appearance together at the Golden Globes after getting engaged in Los Angeles following a four-month romance, though Hall didn't appear to be wearing an engagement ring at the ceremony, reports People magazine.
The pair first made their romance public in October when Murdoch gave Hall a kiss while attending the Rugby World Cup final in London.
Hall was famously involved with Mick Jagger from 1977 to 1999. The couple had four children together: Georgia May, now 23, Elizabeth, 31, James, 30, and Gabriel, 18. Hall and Jagger had a marriage ceremony in Bali, but it was later declared invalid.
Murdoch was most recently married to third wife Wendi Deng, 46. The two divorced in 2013 after 14 years of marriage. The couple had two children together, Chloe, 12, and Grace Helen, 14.
