'Missing each other': The Weeknd and Selena Gomez sending texts and videos while apart

Although The Weeknd and Selena Gomez have been spending time apart due their busy schedules, the couple has been keeping their romance hot, with the two love birds sending each other sweet texts and videos.

The couple has been keeping the fire burning even though the Canadian singer - real name Abel Tesfaye - is in Europe on tour and Gomez busy with her upcoming track Fetish.

They have been "missing each other" terribly but Gomez and The Weeknd are in constant contact, with the two expressing their love of one another by "texting, messaging and face timing".

Gomez has reportedly been "sending cute and funny memes to Abel to show him how much she's thinking of him," a source close to the songstress told HollywoodLife.

Like most new couples, the duo has reportedly been speaking daily, mostly late at night.

"They try to speak at least once a day, preferably last thing at night, depending on the time difference. Abel goes out of his way to let Selena know that he's constantly thinking of her," the source continued.

The Weeknd has reportedly been showering Gomez with "flowers and chocolates, and really lovely gifts" even though he is busy with his tour. "He recently bought her some beautiful lingerie, and always tries to find something cool or sweet to send her specific to where he is in the world," the source said.

The Weeknd will be winding down his tour abroad and will be reuniting with Gomez before July comes to an end. "Although it drives them both insane to be apart, it's also good for their relationship, and helps them appreciate each other even more. Plus, it just makes it all the more amazing when they finally get to spend time together again," the source said.
