Ducati rider Andrea Iannone swooped past Maverick Vinales of Team Suzuki to top the second practice session of the 2016 British Grand Prix on Friday, 2 September.

Practice review
Andrea Iannone continued his rich vein of form similar to that of the past two races to top the first day of MotoGP free practice at Silverstone, clocking 2:01.421s.
Maverick Vinales who had topped the Free Practice session 1 earlier in the day came a close second, clocking 2:01.721s while Cal Crutchlow of Honda came in third with a time of 2:01.917s.
Championship leader Marc Marquez had a disappointing outing finishing in fifth position just ahead of seven-time champion Valentino Rossi who came in sixth.
