MotoGP Italian Grand Prix 2016: Where to watch race live and qualifying review
Yamaha rider Valentino Rossi was the fastest in the qualifying session of the 2016 Italian Grand Prix on 21 May. The seven-time champion stormed to take his first pole position at the Mugello circuit since 2008.

Qualifying review
Rossi enthralled fans at his home circuit to take pole despite being in the ninth position at the closing stages. The Italian clocked a lap of 1:46.504s with less than 60 seconds left. This was the 63rd pole position of his career, equalling teammate and arch-rival Jorge Lorenzo who was on top.
Having set the pace during the first half of the day, Ducati's Andrea Iannone eventually finished in the third place with a timing of 1:46.607s while Maverick Vinales of Suzuki finished second with 1:46.598s.
