Neville Neville Charged: Father of Phil and Gary Accused of Sexual Assault
Father of football brothers accused of sexually assaulting 46-year-old woman in Bury
Neville Neville, the father of footballers Gary and Phil, has been charged on suspicion of sexual assault.
The 63-year-old was arrested by police following an alleged assault against a 46-year-old woman in Bury in March.
He has been bailed to appear at Bury and Rochdale Magistrates' Court on 12 June.
Nazir Afzal, chief crown prosecutor for CPS North West said: "Greater Manchester Police has investigated an allegation of sexual assault by Neville Neville in March 2013.
"I have reviewed all the evidence they have gathered and have authorised the police to charge him with one count of sexual assault against a 46-year-old woman."
A former cricketer and director of Bury FC, Neville is also known for acting as an agent for both his footballing sons.
Eldest brother Gary is a former Manchester United captain and current Sky Sports pundit. Phil recently announced his retirement from the game having having captained Everton.
