Newcastle United v Manchester City, Capital One Cup: Where to Watch Live and Preview

Where to Watch Live
Kick-Off is set for 7:45pm GMT. Live telecast will be available on Sky Sports 1 and Sky Sports 1 HD.
Overview
Newcastle slumped to a 2-1 loss in the Tyne-Wear derby giving Sunderland their first win of the season, taking them above Crystal Palace into 19th position from the bottom of the table. Pardew will be looking to turn the tables around a strong City side who have themselves suffered defeat at the hands of their title rivals Chelsea.
Mathieu Debuchy had cancelled out Steven Fletcher's opener in the first half but a late strike from Liverpool loanee Fabio Borini sealed three crucial points for the Black Cats. The performance was atypical of a Newcastle side who have failed to put in a consistent shift this season and are currently 11th in the league with three wins and two draws thus far. The reverse fixture between the two sides in the Premier League ended in a 4-0 rout at the hands of the Citizens and Pardew will be looking to prevent any such rout at home this time around.
All the talk will be about Joe Hart, who is expected to start on the bench. This is Costel Pantilimon's big chance to make the number one position his own at City after Hart's late blunder against Chelsea cost them a point. The Citizens have made a disappointing start to their campaign and are currently on 16 points, six behind league leaders Arsenal on 22. Manuel Pellegrini is likely to field a strong side against Newcastle to force a win, having seen Cheslea and Manchester United move into the next round without busting a gut.
What the Managers Say
Alan Pardew: "I think we have a good side but we are into a really tough part of the season in terms of fixtures. City are coming off a defeat. I don't know how many times they get beat twice on the trot. It is not often so we will have to do something extraordinary there. Chelsea are coming off a last-gasp win and [Jose] Mourinho has a spring in his step. That is worrying and after that we face Tottenham."
Manuel Pellegrini (on Hart): "What do I think about my goalkeeper's performance? I repeat, the analysis I do with individual players I do with the players. How is the confidence? You must ask him how his confidence is, I talk just internally with the players. We are losing stupid points. In our three away defeats, we've had the important responsibility for the goals the other team scored."
