One Direction star Zayn Malik has splashed out £50,000 on a funfair-themed 21st birthday party for Little Mix fiancée Perrie Edwards.

The singer took time out of his world tour to give his girlfriend a birthday party she'll never forget complete with Ferris wheel, trampoline and a giant cake for the star to share with her bandmates.

A source told The Sun: "It was incredibly romantic. Zayn and Perrie were really enjoying each other's company. It shows how in love they still are."

This is not the first time the One Direction heart-throb has made a grand gesture for his girl - earlier this year he reportedly splashed out more than £200,000 on a new home for her mum Debbie.

The One Direction star and the Little Mix singer have been dating for two years after meeting when his band performed on The X Factor, which Perrie's group went on to win. The two got engaged in August 2013.
