OxygenOS 4.1.3 update for OnePlus 3T and 3 released with improved system stability and fixes
The update brings expanded screenshots feature.
OnePlus is rolling out an update to the OxygenOS based on Android 7.1.1 for OnePlus 3T and 3. As this is a phased rollout, only a small number of users would receive an over-the-air (OTA) update notification.
The OxygenOS version 4.1.3 adds expanded screenshots feature. Apart that, both OnePlus 3T and 3 users should be able to take advantage of a number of improvements for photo capturing of moving objects with blur reduction, video stability when recording, Wi-Fi connectivity and Bluetooth connectivity.
Along with general bug fixes, the update also resolves Instagram swiping bug and hardware buttons malfunction issue. It increases the overall system stability.
There is also a fix available for those users who were experiencing Bluetooth logging issue. Just free up storage space on the phone by deleting the OEM log folder, which is can be found from File manager>> Storage>>oem_log, and then hit Delete.
There are two ways to get the OxygenOS. You can wait for the update to arrive in your region or manually install the update using OTA files shared by XDA forum members. Check out the following steps for installing OTA update, if your OnePlus 3 or 3T runs on stock firmware.
- Download appropriate OxygenOS 4.1.3 OTA file and copy it in the root folder of the phone
- Head over to Settings>> System Updates>> Settings icon>> Local Upgrade & select the OTA file
- Select Upgrade now. The system would reboot in stock recovery and flash the OTA
- The installer would flash the OTA file and reboot the phone
When the phone reboots successfully it should be running the latest OxygenOS version.
