Photos of Kew Gardens' magical illuminated Christmas trail
A mile-long illuminated trail leads visitors past glowing trees, to Wolfgang Buttress' bee-inspired installation The Hive.
This Christmas, Kew Gardens in London is being transformed with a magical display of more than 60,000 lights. A mile-long illuminated trail leads visitors past glowing trees and flickering flowers, through a scented fire garden, to Wolfgang Buttress' spectacular bee-inspired installation The Hive, which boasts 1,000 LEDs that pulsate and glow against the night sky.
The Palm House and its pond will be lit up with an explosion of brightly coloured laser beams and streams of light that dance in time to Christmas songs. IBTimes UK presents photos of some of the highlights of this year's Christmas display at Kew.
Christmas at Kew runs from 23 November 2016 to 2 January 2017. For tickets and further information, visit the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew website.
