Pippa Middleton is planning a grand party for her close friends at her family mansion on new year's eve, it has been reported.

According to the Sun, the Duchess of Cambridge's party planner sister is throwing the bash to celebrate her amazing achievements in 2011. She has also booked an entire hotel in Bucklebury, Berks, for the day, the report has added.

"She's gone from being largely unknown to one of the most recognised women in the world. So she decided to hold a big party to thank everyone," a source close to the Middletons has told the paper.

Pippa, 28, was the centre of attention at the royal wedding early this year when she played the bridesmaid. She, in fact, stole the spotlight in her stunning Alexander McQueen gown at the royal wedding.

As Pippa is known for her awesome rear and the elegant attires at public appearances, fans have already started speculating on what she will be wearing at the new year party.

On the flip side, the style icon drew much criticism by coming to a friend's wedding dressed in vivid green, a colour which is traditionally associated with bad luck and therefore unusual at weddings. Fashionistas worldwide termed the dress as a rare fashion faux-pas.
