Pippa Middleton worried her wedding will be upstaged by Spencer Matthews' girlfriend
33-year-old is concerned that the reality TV star would attend her nuptials alongside her royal guests.
Kate Middleton's younger sister, Pippa, raised quite a few eyebrows since her reported 'no ring, no bring' policy came into effect. She is seemingly forbidding guests from bringing plus ones to whom they are not engaged or married to her wedding.
Amid rumours that the rule may stop Prince Harry's girlfriend Meghan Markle from attending the nuptials, a new report has claimed that Pippa may have banned another famous reality TV star from being part of her big day.
Model Vogue Williams – who is dating Pippa's brother-in-law to-be Spencer Matthews – has reportedly been cut-down from the wedding guest list, according to The Sun.
Apparently, the 33-year-old is concerned about The Jump contestant attending her nuptials alongside her royal guests – Prince William and Kate.
"Pippa's view is that Vogue's relationship with Spencer is still very new. It wouldn't be appropriate for her to be there after just a few months of dating," a source told the newspaper. The couple's romance came into the limelight recently after Spencer and Vogue made an appearance on Irish TV.
They first met on the sets of celebrity action series The Jump. While 27-year-old Spencer won the show, his girlfriend had to quit following a knee injury.
As Pippa narrows her guest-list ahead of the wedding, her "no ring, no bring" policy is believed to have irked some people close to her. A source claimed, "Some people in the circle are pretty shocked because this is her future brother-in-law who's going to end up attending on his own. It's certainly raised eyebrows."
"It's clear Pippa doesn't want to be outshone by any TV babes on her big day," the alleged source added.
According to reports, hedge-fund manager James Matthews' bride-to-be does not want anyone to upstage her wedding and hence the plus one rule has been implemented. This may even forbid Prince Harry's girlfriend from being part of the ceremony.
"She saw how all eyes were on Meghan rather than Lara last week," Mail Online quoted as source as saying in reference to Harry and Markle's presence at Tom 'Skippy' Inskip and Lara Hughes-Young's wedding in Jamaica.
"The situation was also stressful for Harry. Pippa and her mother Carole wonder whether Meghan's presence could cause a great deal of unnecessary chaos," the source added.
Meanwhile, a source close to Vogue said that she would not be attending Pippa's wedding due to prior work commitments. "Vogue is working on the day of the wedding – a job that has been booked in for ages – so she won't be attending regardless," the source was quoted as saying.
Pippa and James will tie the knot on 20 May at St Mark's Church in Englefield, Berkshire.
