PL Rivals Set to Lose Out on Primary Targets as Barcelona and Bayern Munich Target Swap
Premier League quartet Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal are in for big disappointment with respect to their summer interest in Toni Kroos and Alexis Sanchez.
According to the Express, Bayern Munich and Barcelona are looking at a swap deal for the much coveted duo.
Barcelona are in the market to bring in some quality replacements after allowing Cesc Fabregas to leave and on the verge of losing Xavi this summer. The Catalan club are keen to persuade former boss Pep Guardiola to part with the German midfielder.
Chelsea and United have been credited with moves for the highly rated midfielder who is on the final year of his contract at the Allianz Arena and has refused their first offer of an extension. It was also claimed that the Blues have made a very lucrative offer to land the player ahead of the Red Devils.
However, it could be that the Spanish giants could steal a march ahead in the race after offering Sanchez in return. The Chilean is in fine form and also with Guardiola having signed him for Barcelona, could be interested in a re-union.
Meanwhile, the Chilean winger has been constantly linked with a move to England, with Liverpool and Arsenal touted as possible destinations.
The Reds Legend Phil Thompson claimed that Liverpool have already completed the signing of Sanchez, but other reports mention him being a make-weight in the Luis Suarez deal to Barcelona.
The former Udinese forward has had his best season in the La Liga scoring an impressive 19 goals and providing 10 assists all this while playing second fiddle to Camp Nou hero Lionel Messi.
Meanwhile, the Gunners boss who has made adding strikers to his squad top priority this summer has been linked to various players, but it is expected that the north London side will make a big money move to land the Chilean star.
However, it could be a big blow for all the clubs concerned if the deal between the Catalans and the Bavarian giants takes place.
