Pokemon Omega Ruby And Alpha Sapphire: Trainers Can Create Their Own Gyms With Secret Bases

Nintendo has now said that Secret Bases will make a return in Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire in an improved form.

These bases first made an appearance in Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire and allowed players to create their own secret space and personalise it as per their taste. The announcement was made on the official Pokemon website.

These new bases in the Hoenn region will allow players to use a new range of accessories, furniture and plushies so that they can decorate their homes in the most unique way possible.

Super-Secret Bases will make use of the Nintendo 3DS' online capabilities. Players will be able to share their Super-Secret Bases with other players by StreetPassing them.

This means that players can join up with friends to make it feel like their very own Pokemon Gym that can be visited by others for challenges.

Nintendo has also ensured that each base's members will behave like NPCs who will challenge visiting players. Players will also be able to create symbol for their base with unique QR codes

Another fun aspect of Super-Secret Bases is a capture-the-flag activity. Examine the flag beside the Secret PC in another player's Secret Base to obtain it! You can take one flag per day from each base visited. Visit lots of Secret Bases and collect lots of flags to improve your team's rank and get rewards, including increasing the skills of your Secret Pals. Flag colors will change based on a team's rank, so you can tell another team's rank at a glance—and others can tell yours!

And to help trainers get started with their own base, the developers has called upon an expert. "Aarune and his Flygon are world travelers, bursting with excitement about the Secret Base culture in the Hoenn region . This enthusiastic adventurer will teach you all about the fun of Secret Bases during your journey," the developers said.
