Police appeal for information as 15-year-old boy scarred for life by 3 men in Ardrossan
The attack took place in Seton Street, Ardrossan, at 1.30am on Saturday 30 July.
Police in Scotland are appealing for information after three men apparently entered a house in Ardrossan and viciously attacked a 15-year-old boy, leaving him permanently scarred. The attack took place at 1.30am on Saturday (30 July).
The boy was taken to Crosshouse hospital 15 miles away, where he was treated for injuries to his head and chest. He was later discharged. Police have not revealed if he lived at the address.
Police Scotland Detective Constable Jennifer Carruth at Saltcoats CID said: "This was a distressing experience for the young victim and he will be left with permanent disfigurement from his injuries. It is vital that we trace the persons responsible as soon as possible.
"I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at that time and saw anything suspicious or anyone who has any information about this incident to contact police immediately via telephone number 101.
"Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where anonymity can be maintained."
