Police manhunt; 'Gunman's Body Found'
The latest news regarding the murder of PC Ian Dibble, as Police have confirmed they have found a body in a church yard, believed to be Peter Reeve who is suspected of killing the off-duty officer.
Forensic officers are inside the churchyard, and all of the alleyways leading to the area have been sealed off.
Sources say that the risk to the public is now over, however further details are still unclear.
There are no confirmed details surrounding the shooting but reports suggest the off-duty officer had challenged the gunman who was chasing a man and woman along Redbridge Road, where it is believed the dead policeman lived.
Essex Police Chief Constable Jim Barker-McCardle described PC Dibell as a "brave, respected and experienced neighbourhood officer".
He said the officer had "deliberately intervened in what he knew was an extremely deadly situation", adding: "Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of our brave, fallen colleague."
