Footage has emerged of the moment a Polish police officer set a football fan on fire after spraying him with pepper spray.

The fan was turned into a human fireball at the weekend when a policeman sprayed pepper spray at him while he has holding a flare.

The man, who was standing on a metal fence, is seen falling down a flight of stairs before miraculously getting to his feet and entering the midst of away fans once more.

The incident happened as fans of polish side Śląsk Wrocław waved flares in a corner of a stadium they occupied for their side's match against Zagłębie Lubin.
