City Will Still Come out on Top over Manchester United [PODCAST]
IBTimes UK sports team have thrown their weight behind Manchester City taking the Premier League crown as the new season gets under way despite Robin Van Persie sealing a deal with Old Trafford believed to be worth more than £70m.
United has confirmed that the striker passed his medical and would be ready to play against Everton on Monday. Alex Ferguson says he is the missing link that the squad have needed for years.
"It has given everyone [at United] a lift," he said.
"They can gel together. Robin's best position is furthest up the pitch. The most important thing is to win what we want to win. These players can help us to do that."
But City still have Sergio Aguero, favoured for top goal scorer, alongside a rejuvenated Carlos Tevez, Mario Balotelli and even the returning Emmanuel Adebayor.
