Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh in Chennai Express Director's New Film?
Looks like Ranbir Kapoor and his ex-girlfriend Deepika Padukone might reunite on screen for Chennai Express director Rohit Shetty's new film.
Bollywood's former couple delivered a massive blockbuster, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, in 2013 and producers have been lining up since to sign the hit pair for another film.
Now, Bollywood Life reports that Padukone might be cast opposite Ranbir in Rohit Shetty's remake of a Bollywood classic – Ram Lakhan. As per the report, Kapoor is in the running for the role of Lakhan (originally played by Anil Kapoor) in the film and Padukone might play the role essayed by Madhuri Dixit in the original. The remake is a collaboration between Shetty and Karan Johar.

"Deepika is a favourite of both Rohit Shetty, with who she has delivered a huge hit in Chennai Express, and Karan Johar whose production house gave her Yeh Jawani Hai Deeewani," states the Bollywood Life report.
The report also states that "Rohit is keener on her than Karan given the fact that he has a phenomenal rapport with her."
Meanwhile, Padukone's current boyfriend, Ranveer Singh has also expressed his interest to work in the film:
"If I am offered the film I would love to do it," he told India Today. "Karan Johar is the best creative producer one can ask for. Rohit Shetty is one of the biggest directors we have a today. I am a big fan of Rohit Shetty movies," the Ram Leela actor added.
Well, even though no official announcements have been made regarding the casting of the film, having Deepika Padukone along with her former and current flame in one film could be interesting.
Padukone is currently on tour with Shahrukh Khan and the Happy New Year cast in the US while Kapoor is filming in Malaysia for his new film, Roy.
