Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo becomes dad of four after girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez gives birth
The 32-year-old footballer is also father to his son Cristiano Jr and twins Eva Maria and Mateo.
Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo welcomed his fourth child, he announced on Sunday (12 November) evening on Instagram. The baby is the first child Ronaldo has with girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez.
The 32-year-old footballer shared a photo of his 22-year-old girlfriend holding their infant daughter next to him and his eldest son, Cristiano Jr. "Alana Martina is just born! Both Geo and Alana are doing great! We are all very happy!" Ronaldo wrote on Instagram.
The couple decided to release the baby's name before her birth. "I chose the first name and Geo the second," the Real Madrid star said. "The name of my daughter will be Alana Martina. I just wanted to share this with you. I think it is a beautiful name."
Rodriguez was set to give birth around 21 November but was admitted to the Hospital Quiron Universal in Madrid on Sunday.
According to reports in Spain, the baby's due date was pushed forward after he was given time off from Portugal's international break fixtures. He also has no club matches until next weekend.
Ronaldo recently welcomed twins, Eva Maria and Mateo, to his growing family. The twins were born to a surrogate mother in a US hospital, The Mirror noted. His oldest son was born in June 2010, but the boy's mother has never been publicly identified.
The doting father-of-four recently opened up about being a father. "Being a father is a unique and personal journey, something that has changed me completely," Ronaldo said last week to Hello magazine.
"It's taught me things about love that I never knew existed. It has softened me and given me a different perspective on what is really important in my life," he continued. "I can't wait to be a dad again. Being a father and seeing my family grow is without doubt the greatest privilege I've had.
"Spending time with them, being by their side, smiling and laughing with them. They've brought a lot of happiness and joy to my life."
