Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart Reunion: Twilight Stars Staying Together During Cannes 2014?

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart fans are eagerly waiting for the couple to resolve past differences and reunite. Pattinson may have been ignoring his former girlfriend over the past few months, but looks like that's about to change during the upcoming 2014 Cannes Film Festival.

A source close to Pattinson has revealed to CelebDirtyLaundry that the actor has reached out to Stewart about renting a villa for them both to share during the film festival.

The source said: "Rob is still carrying a torch for Kristen, he loves her deeply and wants some intimate alone time together."

Both Pattinson and Stewart have films nominated at the 67th Annual Cannes Film Festival which begins on 14th May. In the past they have made huge statements together on the red carpet at the festival.

"The star-studded event would be the perfect setting for the estranged couple to put all of the drama aside and work things out," states the CDL report.

Any chances of the former couple getting back together seemed highly unlikely after Pattinson reportedly ditched Stewart on her birthday earlier this month and later allegedly spent the 2014 Coachella Music Festival weekend with rumoured 'hook-up' pal Katy Perry.

However, E! Online spoke to a source close to singer Katy Perry who stated that not only is Pattinson not hooking up with her, the rumours about him hooking up with Nettie Wakefield or Katy Perry's stylist Cleo Wade are also completely false.

It remains to be seen whether the two stars decide to remain friends or restart their romance. For the time being, both actors seem to be busy filming and promoting their respective movies. While R-Patz is shooting for Life, K-Stew is filming American Ultra.
