Robin Williams Was Battling Depression? Actor's Last Social Media Post Reflects Happier State of Mind
Beloved actor Robin Williams passed away on Monday, 11 August. His death is believed to be suicide and it has shocked fans and celebs from the entertainment world. Reportedly, the comic actor was going through severe depression. However, his last post on social media reflects the actor's happier state of mind.
Williams' final post on social media was a sweet message to his daughter. The actor shared an adorable throwback photo on Instagram of his daughter in his arms, reports Enstars.
"Happy Birthday to Ms. Zelda Rae Williams! Quarter of a century old today but always my baby girl. Happy Birthday @zeldawilliams Love you!" he captioned the photo on 31 July.
The actor, whose career spanned almost 40 years, was found dead in his California home on Monday. The cause of death is believed to be suicide via asphyxiation, according to the Tiburon coroner's office, reports Variety. He was 63.
"He has been battling severe depression of late," the actor's media representative, Mara Buxbaum, said in a statement.
"This is a tragic and sudden loss. The family respectfully asks for their privacy as they grieve during this very difficult time," Buxbaum added.
Some of Williams' most memorable films include Mrs. Doubtfire, Jumanji, Hook and Patch Adams. He was working on the third installment of Night at the Museum before his sudden demise.
