Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has received XXBLH4 Android 4.0.4 official firmware a month ago in September. And now a complete root method is made available for the device. The method explains the process of rooting using ClockworkMod (CWM) recovery. IBTimes UK will not be held responsible for any damages to your devices during the process.
To do list:
- Ensure that you have installed the USB drivers for your Galaxy Tab 2 10.1
- Enable USB debugging mode by navigating to Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging and enable the USB debugging
- Check whether your phone's battery has a charge of at least 80 per cent
- Backup all your data
- Finally, make sure that your tablet is factory unlocked
Points to remember:
- This method is compatible only with Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and not any other variants
- CWM recovery should be installed
- An external SD card is required since CWM recovery will not recognise internal storage
