Samsung’s Galaxy Note Faces Motorola’s Droid Razr Maxx: Let the Games Begin
The Motorola Droid Razr Maxx packs a powerful battery which reportedly provides the longest talk time of all smartphones. The power-packed device is made with DuPont KEVLAR and Corning Gorilla Glass which protects the screen from scratches and dust. It incorporates water-repellent nano particles, which protects the device against water damage.
On the other hand, Samsung's Galaxy Note boasts of a gigantic 5.3-inch screen and comes with the amazing S Pen, which integrates in to the device's native apps to provide a richer and more interactive experience to the users. Display
The Galaxy Note has an incredible 5.3-inch HD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280x800 pixels at 285 pixels per inch (ppi).The device comes with the damage resistant Corning Gorilla Glass, which helps protect the screen from everyday wear and tear. Moreover, the TouchWiz 4.0 User Interface (UI) enables gestures functions like panning, turn over, tilt and double tap.
In comparison, the Droid Razr Maxx comes with a Super AMOLED Advance capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 960x540 pixels. It includes a virtual keyboard which provides multi-touch and swipe functionality.
Processor
The Samsung smartphone is powered by a 1.4 GHz dual-core processor and an Exynos chipset. It includes the Mali-400 MP GPU which provides a complete graphics acceleration platform as well as maximising battery life. It reduces memory bandwidth overhead and lowers power usage.

Camera
The Samsung Galaxy Note includes an eight megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash. It also has a secondary camera of two megapixels for video calling as well as 1080p video recording. The Droid Razr Maxx also has an eight megapixel primary camera. It offers a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video chats as well as 720p HD video recording. The camera contains several image editing tools like cropping, geo-tagging, resizing and more.
Operating System
Both the Galaxy Note and Droid Razr Maxx run on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform. It can be upgraded to the latest Ice Cream Sandwich Android 4.0 which features resizable widgets, lock screen actions and enhanced text input and spell-checking.

The Samsung smartphone has a Li-In 2500mAh standard battery which allows for stand by time of up to 960 hours on 2G and 820 hours on 3G networks. It supports talk time of up to 26 hours 10 minutes on 2G and 13 hours 30 minutes on 3G networks.
On the other hand, the Motorola smartphone comes with a Li-Ion 3300mAh standard battery. It supports stand by time of up to 380 hours as well as talk time of up to 21.5 hours.
