Samsung Galaxy S3 Vs Acer CloudMobile: Can Newest Galaxy Be The Conqueror?
Acer CloudMobile is the first smartphone to offer AcerCloud technology.
Acer CloudMobile, won the iF design award 2012 for outstanding achievement in design, it was announced at this year's Mobile World Congress event. The CloudMobile, as claims made by Acer, is the first smartphone to offer AcerCloud technology which connects personal contents from Cloud PCS through CloudMobile irrespective of the place and time. The AcerCloud enhances mobile productivity by providing document management and users can browse all files from ClodMobile. In terms of specification, the smartphone features a 4.3in display and packs a high resolution primary camera of eight megapixel. It runs on the Android 4.0 operating system. Acer confirmed that the smartphone will be available in the third quarter of this year.

Display
The Acre CloudMobile will feature a 4.3in capacitive touchscreen. The resolution of the display is 720 x 1280pixels with a pixel density of 342 pixels per inch (ppi).
The Galaxy S3 in contrast features a Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 2. The display features the TouchWiz User Interface (UI) v4.0 and the resolution of the display is 720 x 1280 pixels with a density of 306 ppi.
Dimension
There is not much information on the measurement of the smartphone but its thickness will be of 10mm whereas the Galaxy S3 measures 136.6 x 70.6 x 8.6mm and weighs 133g.
Operating System
The CloudMobile will run on the Android operating system 4.0 Ice Cream sandwich (ICS) but the Galaxy S3 runs on an updated version of the Android 4.0.4 ICS.
Processor
The CloudMobile will be powered by dual-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. The Galaxy S3 is powered by the Exynos 4 quad-core processor, clocked at 1.4GHz. Both smartphones house 1GB of RAM.
Camera
The CloudMobile will sport an eight megapixel rear-facing camera with technology including auto-focus, LED flash and geo-tagging. The handset will have a front-facing camera as well.
The Galaxy S3, like the Acer CloudMobile, is equipped with a main camera of eight megapixel with auto-focus, LED flash and other features such as simultaneous HD video and image recording, geo-tagging, touch-focus, face and smile detection and image stabilisation. The camera can record video in 1080p and 30 fps. The handset packs a secondary camera of 1.9 megapixel, which can record video in 720p at 30 fps
Connectivity
The CloudMobile will offer Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot and Bluetooth version 2.1 with A2DP and EDR. It will support 3G connectivity and Near Field Communication (NFC).
The Galaxy S3 offers Wi-Fi b/g/n, Wi-Fi HT40, NFC and Bluetooth v4.0. It supports data speeds up to HSDPA 21Mbps and HSUPA 5.76 Mbps and can connect to 4G network speeds.
Storage
The CloudMobile will offer storage option of 16GB and will have a microSD card slot with an additional memory of 32GB.
The S3 comes offering little bit more storage options with 16/32GB, with a 64GB model expected as well. The smartphone supports microSD card.
Battery
There is no information on the battery capacity of Acer CloudMobile but it will be powered by a standard Li-ion battery. The Galaxy S3 has a larger 2100mAh battery.
