Samsung Step Ahead with Galaxy S3 Over Apple with iPhone 5
Samsung is one step ahead of Apple in terms of its next flagship phone release expected to happen this year.
The South Korean conglomerate expects to push its Galaxy S3 in the United Kingdom in a big way. The Galaxy S2 toppled iPhone 4 to retain the top spot in 2011 in the UK. Samsung, one of the major sponsors of the Summer Olympics, hopes to cash in on the event to boost its market share.
Speculation is rife that an April launch is imminent. With various industry insiders confirming the launch date, Samsung fans will have enough to look forward to as Apple moves ahead with its iPhone 5 planning. It is probably a waiting game by Apple to launch its iPhone 5 in October as the Cupertino giant will have ample time to plan changes to its product in order to give the Samsung Galaxy S3 a run for its money.
Samsung is taking a leaf out of Apple's book as the tech giant is also introducing a new mode of unveiling the successor to Galaxy S2 at a separate event as confirmed by the company's statement to tech Websites.
Apple is just settling down with the sales of its iPhone 4S and its newfound Siri companion.
Most of the confirmed specifications of Galaxy S3 are floating around as the device is expected to have features like 1.5GHz quad-core Samsung Exynos processor, 2 GB RAM, 4.8-inch "full HD" 1080p resolution with 16:9 aspect ratio display, 2-megapixel front-facing camera and an 8-megapixel rear camera, ceramic case, 4G LTE and Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).
However when it comes to iPhone 5 nothing can be confirmed until Apple announces officially. The rumoured specifications of the upcoming super phone from Apple are said to be symmetrical shape with an aluminum rear panel reinforced by glossy plastic or rubberised bezel, waterproof capability with special nano-coating system, 4-inch HD Retina display, A6 quad-core 1.2 to 1.5 GHz processor, iOS 5.1, 8-megapixel camera with improved image capturing capability, higher capacity battery, 4G LTE and NFC.
