Samsung's Galaxy S2 Skyrocket has turned out to be an amazing device. Thanks to bright display, durability, realistic colour, faster processor and of course, lightweight, the device is loved by tech fans. It offers support to faster network speed which can be used to check voicemails faster. On the other hand, the Galaxy S3 is the highly-anticipated smartphone of 2012. It is poised to become the most rivalled smartphone after the splendid success of Apple's iPhone 4S.

Display
The Galaxy S2 Skyrocket flaunts a Super AMOLED Plus capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. The 4.5in screen incorporates TouchWiz 4.0 User Interface (UI) as well as multitouch functionality. "The Samsung Super AMOLED Plus Screen is the industry standard for jaw-dropping colour," claims Samsung.

Processor
The Galaxy S2 Skyrocket is powered by a 1.5GHz Scorpion dual-core CPU and Qualcomm MSM8260 Snapdragon chipset. The Snapdragon chipset includes a technology which allows better graphics and faster connectivity. The Adreno 220 GPU features an enhanced level of 3D graphics performance.
In contrast, the Galaxy S3 will be powered by a 1.4GHz Exynos 4 quad-core processor. The Korean giant has officially announced about its new Exynos processor which allows system-level architects to include maximised power efficiencies.
Camera
The Galaxy S2 Skyrocket boasts an eight megapixel rear-facing camera which features auto-focus, LED flash, geo-tagging, touch focus, image stabilisation and face and smile detection. Users are allowed to record video of 1080p. It includes a two megapixel front-facing camera for video calling.
Speculation is rife that the Galaxy S3 could come with a 12 megapixel rear-facing camera with auto-focus and LED flash.
Operating System
The Galaxy S2 Skyrocket runs on Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread operating system.
But the Galaxy S3 is expected to run on latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) which includes advanced features like rich notifications, resizable widgets and easy multitasking.
Storage
The Galaxy S2 Skyrocket contains the internal storage of 16GB and 1GB RAM. It has a microSD card slot with an additional memory of 32GB.
The Galaxy S3 is expected to come with internal storage options of 16GB/32GB as well as a microSD card slot with an additional memory of 32GB.
Battery
The Galaxy S2 Skyrocket contains Li-Ion 1850mAh standard battery which allows stand by time of up to 256 hours and talk time of up to seven hours.
On the other hand, the Galaxy S3 is expected to come with a 2050mAh standard battery.
