Samsung Galaxy S3 Vs HTC Droid Incredible 2: Which Android Smartphone Should You go For?
HTC announced the Droid Incredible 2 in April last year. The Droid Incredible follows in the footstep of the popular HTC Droid Incredible but in terms of specs it is supposed to be a cut above, featuring, as it does, a larger display, the latest operating system and a more powerful battery. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon processor and offers 3G Mobile hotspots that can connect up to five Wi-Fi-enabled devices.

Display
The HTC Droid Incredible 2 features a 4in Super-LCD capacitive touchscreen and the HTC Sense User Interface (UI). The resolution of the display is 480x800 pixels with a pixel density of 233 pixels per inch (ppi).
The Galaxy S3 features a Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 2. The display has Samsung's TouchWiz User Interface v4.0 and the resolution of the display is 720x1280 pixels with a density of 306 ppi.
Dimension
The Droid Incredible 2 measures 120.7x64x12.2mm and weighs 135g while the Galaxy S3 measures 136.6x70.6x8.6mm and weighs slightly less at 133g.
Operating System
The Droid Incredible 2 launched with Android 2.2 but this can be upgraded to Android 4.0. The S3, however, comes pre-installed with the latest Ice Cream Sandwich update, Android 4.0.4.
Processor
The Droid Incredible 2 is powered by a Qualcomm MSM85655 Snapdragon Scorpion processor clocked at 1GHz and houses 768MB of RAM. The Galaxy S3 is powered by the Exynos 4 quad-core processor, has been clocked at 1.4GHz and houses 1GB of RAM
Camera
The Droid Incredible 2 sports an eight megapixel rear-facing camera with auto-focus, dual-LED flash, geo-tagging, touch-focus, face detection and image stabilisation. The camera can capture video in 720p at 30 frames per second (fps). The handset also packs a front-facing camera of 1.3 megapixels.
The Galaxy S3 is equipped with a rear camera of eight megapixels with auto-focus, LED flash and other features such as simultaneous HD video and image recording, geo-tagging, touch-focus, face and smile detection and image stabilisation. The camera can record video in 1080p at 30 fps. The S3 packs a front-facing camera of 1.9 megapixels, which can record video in 720p at 30 fps.
Connectivity
The Droid Incredible 2 offers Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot and Bluetooth version 2.1 with A2DP and EDR. The Galaxy S3 offers Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi HT40, NFC and Bluetooth v4.0. It can connect to 4G networks.
Storage
The Droid Incredible 2 offers storage space of 1.1GB and has a microSD card slot with additional storage space of 32GB. The S3 has two models - 16/32GB, with a 64GB model expected to be available soon. The Samsung smartphone also supports microSD cards.
Battery
The Droid Incredible 2 is powered by a1450mAh battery which delivers talk time of more than six hours and 30 minutes. The Galaxy S3 has a larger 2100mAh battery and delivers a claimed talk time of up to 21 hours and 40 minutes on 2G and an impressive 11 hours and 40 minutes on 3G networks.
