Samsung Galaxy S3 Vs LG Optimus True HD LTE: Which One Should You Go For?
LG Electronics clearly intends to expand its LTE smartphone footprint across Europe and Asia, with the launch of Optimus TrueHD LTE - a new high-speed Android device indicative of the same. The launch was followed by notification the phone would be available in Germany, Portugal, Sweden, Hong Kong and Singapore. The Optimus TrueHD LTE will run a 1.5GHz dual-core processor and have a high-resolution eight megapixel camera.

Display
The Galaxy S3 features a 4.8in HD Super AMOLED display with 16:9 wider viewing angles. The resolution of the display is 720x1280 pixels and it has a pixel density of 306 pixels per inch (ppi). The display has scratch resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 2 and features the TouchWiz User Interface (UI) v4.0.
The LG Optimus TrueHD LTE features a 4.5in IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen. The resolution of the screen is 720x1280 pixels (16:9 ratio) with 326 ppi.
Dimension
The dimensions of the Galaxy S3 are 136.6x70.6x8.6 and it weighs 133g whereas the LG Optimus measures 133.9x67.9x10.5mm and it measures 135g.
Operating System
The Galaxy S3 will be powered by Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich). The LG Optimus will initially run on Android 2.4 (Gingerbread) although LG does plan an ICS update.
Processor
The Galaxy S3 will be powered by a 1.4GHz Exynos quad-core processor. In contrast, the LG Optimus will be powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor. Both smartphones will house 1GB of RAM.
Camera
The Galaxy S3 will pack a primary camera of eight megapixels with auto-focus and LED flash, zero shutter lag, simultaneous HD video and image recording, geo-tagging, touch-focus, face and smile detection and image stabilisation. It can record 1080p video at 30 frames per second (fps). The Galaxy S3 also features a secondary camera of 1.9 megapixels, which can capture 720p video at 30 fps.
The LG Optimus will sport a main camera of 8 megapixels with auto-focus, LED flash, geo-tagging, face and smile detection features. The camera can record video in 1080p. The handset is equipped with a front-facing camera of 1.3 megapixels.
Connectivity
The Galaxy S3 offers Wi-Fi b/g/n, Wi-Fi HT40, Near Field Communication (NFC) and Bluetooth version 4.0. It supports data speed up to HSDPA 21Mbps and HSUPA 5.76 Mbps. The smartphone can connect 4G speeds in the compatible countries.
The LG Optimus offers Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth version 3.0 with A2DP and EDR and 4G connectivity.
Storage
The S3 has two models with 16/32GB of internal storage space; a 64GB model is planned. The LG Optimus will offer only 4GB of storage space. Both devices will support microSD cards.
Battery
The Galaxy S3 will be powered by a Li-ion 2100mAh battery whereas the LG Optimus will be powered by a Li-ion battery of capacity 1830mAh.
