Samsung Galaxy S5 Zoom to have 20MP Camera, 4.8in Screen and Exynos 5 Hexa-core
Galaxy S5 Zoom to be unveiled in May this year
Earlier this week, a new variant of Samsung Galaxy S5, dubbed as Galaxy S5 Neo had surfaced. Now details about another variant of the smartphone have been leaked.
The new variant is reportedly a camera smartphone by Samsung and the sequel of last year's Galaxy S4 Zoom bearing model number SM-C101, known as Galaxy S5 Zoom.
GFXBench has posted all the technical specifications of Samsung Galaxy S5 Zoom with model number SM-C115. As the listing suggests, the Galaxy S5 Zoom will feature a 4.8in screen with resolution measuring 1280 x 720 pixels. It will run on the latest version of KitKat software, Android 4.4.2.
Samsung' upcoming camera smartphone will be powered by Exynos 5 chip featuring a hexa core Cortex-A15 processing unit with clock speeds up to 1.3GHz, while paired with ARM Mali-T624 graphics unit.
The hexa core processor will also feature 2GB RAM. The site notes two different storage capacity, indicating that the device will support memory card slot, adds PhoneArena.
One of key features of the Galaxy S5 Zoom is its rear-camera, which is of 20 megapixel with resolution at 5184 x 3888 pixels.
Besides, the handset has a front-facing camera of two megapixel. Both the cameras are capable of full HD video recording. The camera offers a number of features such as autofocus, face detection and touch focus. The S5 Zoom offers Bluetooth and is an NFC enabled device.
When compared the current Galaxy S4 Zoom, the upcoming Galaxy S5 Zoom seems to have impressive hardware features. The Galaxy S4 Zoom has a 4.3in Super AMOLED display with resolution at 540 x 960 pixels. It uses a dual-core Exynos processor, and 1.5GB RAM. The device offers 8GB internal storage space and supports microSD card. It has a 16 megapixel rear-camera with 10x optical zoom.
