Samsung Galaxy S6 and S Edge: Price and launch details emerge ahead of Mobile World Congress
Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S6 smartphone is expected to be launched officially during Mobile World Congress (MWC) on 1 March, 2015, alongside a new smartphone named the Galaxy S Edge.
The South Korean electronics giant will be hoping the new devices capture the fancy of consumers better than the struggling Galaxy S5 did. In the run-up to the event, new details have surfaced hinting at the pricing of Samsung's next flagship handsets.
According to an Android Pit report, both the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S Edge will be launched in three storage size variants, with European pricing details as follows:
Storage | Samsung Galaxy S6 | Samsung Galaxy S Edge |
32GB | €749 | €849 |
64GB | €849 | €949 |
128GB | €949 | €1,049 |
These rumoured prices certainly represent an elitist touch considering the fact that the Galaxy S Edge (128 GB) at €1,024 seems to be out of the reach of mid-range smartphone buyers.
However, Samsung is yet to issue an official confirmation regarding the price tag of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S Edge smartphones.

In moves to rival Apple Pay, Samsung is reportedly partnering with Visa to work on a mobile payment system. Samsung was also rumoured in December 2014 to be considering a deal with mobile payment system LoopPay.
