Galaxy S4 clocks faster than its rivals in Quadrant and AnTuTu Benchmarks
The dawn of 2013 has seen a splurge of power-packed smartphones hitting the market through all the major players. The list includes Samsung's Galaxy S4, HTC One, Sony Xperia Z, LG Optimus G Pro and Blackberry Z10.
Prospective smartphone buyers are clearly spoilt for choice, as an array of high-end smartphones have thronged the market in style. While some might opt for the stylish-looking phone, a few might look at Value for Money segment and the discerning Power users could be vying for the best-performing handset in the market.
The demand for power-packed smartphones gains precedence, as most of these high-end Android smartphones enjoy the privilege of receiving regular software updates either through official channels or via custom ROMs. The release of Android 4.2 Jelly Bean firmware with a host of powerful features has further strengthened the need for equally powerful hardware.
Galaxy S4 was earlier put to a stern test through Geekbench 2 performance benchmark, whose results were shared by Android Authority on a YouTube video. The benchmark reportedly showed that the Snapdragon 600 variant of Galaxy S4 is twice as fast as the Galaxy S3 and Apple iPhone 5. Samsung's flagship smartphone had clearly blown away its rivals in the overall benchmark scores.
Now, the Exynos 5 Octa variant of Galaxy S4 has been tested by Sam Mobile using Quadrant and AnTuTu benchmarks. All the smartphones being tested were reportedly running the latest firmware iteration.
The latest benchmark results have yet again proved the Exynos 5 Octa variant of Galaxy S4 to be the fastest smartphone on the planet with 12726 points in Quadrant and 27417 in AnTuTu. The AnTuTu benchmark has further revealed that the Snapdragon 600 variant stood second at 25,900 points. In other words, the latest benchmarks have shown that both the variants of Galaxy S4 are noticeably faster than its rivals.
With just a month left for the release of highly-anticipated smartphone of the year - Galaxy S4, the time is ripe for comparing performance benchmarks (check out the screenshot above and below) of top smartphones.
